Beijing, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Recently, Su Zimeng, President of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, attended the press conference and exhibitor preparatory meeting of the China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery, and Mining Machinery Exhibition (BICES 2025) and stated that the import and export trade volume of construction machinery in China from January to April this year was 18.947 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 8.51%. Overall, it is expected that the Chinese construction machinery industry will continue to show a stable and progressive development trend throughout 2025, with major economic indicators showing steady growth and foreign trade maintaining basic stability.
Su Zimeng pointed out that since 2025, the construction machinery industry has fully implemented the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, better grasped the development direction of the industry, actively responded to changes in the domestic and international market environment, and achieved a number of technological innovation achievements. The level of advanced industrial foundation and modernization of industrial chain continues to improve, the internationalization process continues to accelerate, and high-quality development is solidly promoted. Although the international situation is severe and complex, with the increasing macroeconomic regulation and policy effects, favorable factors supporting the stable operation and high-quality development of the industry will continue to gather and increase, and the development environment of China's construction machinery industry will steadily improve.
Su Zimeng proposed that the key tasks for the industry in 2025 include fully implementing the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, better grasping the development direction of the industry, seeking truth and being pragmatic, and striving for excellence; Promote international development with high quality; Cracking the 'involution' competition and building a healthy development ecosystem; Actively utilizing artificial intelligence technology to empower high-quality development in the industry; Seize the opportunity and complete the development goals and tasks of the construction machinery industry in the 14th Five Year Plan with high quality; Gather strength and hold a high-quality Beijing BICES Engineering Machinery Exhibition.
Wu Peiguo, Secretary General of China Construction Machinery Industry Association and Chairman of Beijing Tianshi Huagong International Exhibition Co., Ltd., introduced the organization and preparation work of BICES 2025 exhibition. He stated that as of now, the number of registered exhibitors has increased by more than 10% year-on-year, especially with the rapid increase in the number of new exhibitors in high-end, intelligent, and green industrial and supply chains. It is expected that the total exhibition area will exceed 150000 square meters, and will focus on showcasing various innovative achievements during the 14th Five Year Plan period, especially in the past two years. The organizer will carefully organize and prepare, fully leveraging the five advantages of BICES, to present an industry feast for the global construction machinery industry.
